The fireproof Fire Sleeve is constructed from a high bulk fiberglass fiber woven to produce a hollow sleeve and coated with a thick covering of iron oxide red silicone rubber. It can be easily installed over hoses, cables, tubing or pipes. Both the regular knitted and woven aerospace grade offers excellent resistance to molten metal splash, radiant heat, abrasion, corrosive atmosphere, moisture, chemicals, vibration, and electricity.
Temperature Capabilities: Rated for 500°F (260°C) continuous exposure, up to 2000°F (1093°C) for 15-20 minutes, and up to 3000°F (1650°C) for 15-30 seconds.
Dimensional Data: Available in diameters from 1/4" (6mm) to 5" (125mm). Standard length is 100ft (30m). Nominal wall thickness = 0.135" (3.43mm)
